Last Updated: August 9, 2025
Catspace (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
We collect the following categories of information when you use Catspace:
- Device model, operating system version, and other technical identifiers (such as Device IDFA, subject to user consent via App Tracking Transparency).
- Used for ensuring compatibility, performance optimization, and displaying ads (if consent is given).
1.2 Usage Data
- Basic interactions within the app, such as how often certain features are used.
- This information helps us identify popular features and improve app performance.
1.3 Photos You Provide
- The app requests access to your device’s camera and photo library to allow you to capture or select images for cat breed detection.
- Images submitted for cat breed detection are processed locally or via our servers.
- Photos are only used to run the AI model and are deleted from memory immediately after inference, unless submitted as part of feedback (see Section 3).
1.4 Subscription & Purchase Data
- Purchase history, subscription status, and related transaction receipts.
- Used for validating purchases and granting access to premium features.
1.5 Optional Account Data
- If you choose to create an optional account (future feature), we may store your display name, email, and saved detection history.
- This data is used to sync your preferences across devices.
We use collected information solely for:
- App Functionality – Running AI detection, managing subscriptions, and enabling features.
- Performance Analysis – Identifying bugs, crashes, and usage patterns.
- User Support – Responding to your inquiries or troubleshooting.
- Consent-based Advertising – Showing ads only if you have granted tracking permission (see Section 5).
We do not use your personal data for cross-app tracking or sell your data to third parties.
3. Feedback Submissions
If you use the Feedback feature to report a classification error:
- You may attach the image and the correct cat breed.
- Submitted images will be stored securely for review and model improvement.
- We delete these feedback records when they are no longer needed for training purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following trusted third-party services:
- AdMob – Displays ads using Device IDFA (only if you consent via ATT).
- Firebase Crashlytics – Receives anonymized crash reports for diagnostics.
- RevenueCat – Processes subscription validation and manages receipts via anonymous identifiers.
We do not share user photos or personal identifiers with these services, except as required for their core functionality.
5. Tracking & Advertising
Catspace may request your permission via App Tracking Transparency (ATT) to access the Device IDFA for personalized ads.
- If you decline, ads (if shown) will be non-personalized.
